Soncino Multi Metal Ketubah

Soncino Multi Metal Ketubah by Gad Almaliah

Soncino was the first Jewish printer to publish the Bible. Published in 1488 in Italy, the illustration used for the opening page of the Book of Joshua was adapted for this ketubah.

The design was enlarged and embossed on a 17" by 22" metal sheet (silver alloy) enhanced by two additional embossings of brass and copper. An exquisite juxtaposition of Sephardic scroll work, clean composition and calligraphy.

Very limited edition. Only a few left.
