Burying the mezuzah overnight in a mixture of sawdust and acid produces the green patination of this mezuzah. It has to be turned several times to achieve the correct colour, which is reminiscent of Eilat stone. The sterling silver bands around this modern mezuzah are inspired by the rings circling the planet Saturn.

Contemporary Judaica designer and Jewish artist Laura Cowan began her career in London after graduating in Silversmithing and Jewellery at London Guildhall University. All scrolls supplied by Laura Cowan are 100% kosher. They are written by a qualified and professional Sofer Stam in Israel. They are written on untreated parchment and each scroll is checked by hand and by computer program.
