Crystal Spiral Goblet #G04
$350.00
Size: 5.5″ approximately
This silver and pure gold plated Kiddush goblet with its crystal base is a visual delight.
Its lens-like quality and conical shape that provide multiple perspectives, create an almost infinite number of variations of the Kiddush that has been engraved in a spiral design into the crystal base.
“Some consider the spiral a symbol of the spiritual journey. It is also considered to represent the evolutionary process of learning and growing. It seems that life doesn’t proceed in a straight line. The path of life more closely resembles a spiral. We seem to pass the same point over and over again but from a different perspective each time. To walk and then stand in the center of a spiral or labyrinth has been a psycho-spiritual exercise for centering the consciousness”
- About the Artists:
Caesarea Arts Ltd is a multi-faceted studio run by husband and wife team Alice & Brian Bergner, who design and craft unique handmade jewelry, and manufacture stone and glass Judaica and giftware as well as accessories for the home environment.
The studio is located in Caesarea, Israel, a seafront township built around important archeological sites that date back to ancient times, is an undoubted inspiration for their work. The port and ruins are still being dug today and are a source of some of the ancient glass to be found in some of their designs. Each shard is chosen for its natural opalescent patina and shape and becomes the center piece for a one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry, objet d’art or Judaic ritual item, created in sterling silver filigree. The glass is in its natural form, affected only by age and environment, and is not treated in any way.
